Frequently asked questions

Do my entries disappear when I close the app?

No. All of your data is saved automatically on your device. If you turn on iCloud, it is also synced across your Apple devices.

How do I rate my day?

From the main tab, tap + to create a new entry. Give it a score from 0 to 100, add free-form notes and things to improve, then save.

How do I see my statistics and progress?

Go to the Statistics tab to see your progress grid, your best and worst days, and your average over the period.

How does Premium work?

DayRank Premium unlocks unlimited history, advanced 30-day analysis and personalised tips. The subscription is managed in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → DayRank. Cancellation must happen at least 24 hours before the renewal date to take effect.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. All of your entries are stored locally on your device. DayRank neither shares nor sells your data to third parties. If iCloud is on, your data passes through Apple’s servers.

How do I move between dates?

Use the Yesterday / Today / Tomorrow buttons in the main navigation to look back at past entries or get tomorrow ready.

Can I edit or delete an entry?

Yes. Tap an existing entry to edit it. To delete it, swipe left and confirm.

DayRank is an iOS journalling and daily-rating app. It lets users score their day out of 100, add notes and things to improve, then see statistics on their progress.

Distribution and hosting

The DayRank app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. User data is stored locally on the device and may, depending on the user’s settings, be synced and backed up through iCloud.

Technologies

The app is built in Swift and SwiftUI, using native iOS frameworks to guarantee the best possible experience and seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem.

Intellectual property

Every element making up the DayRank app — source code, user interfaces, icons, animations, texts and visual identity — is the exclusive property of Julien Taret and is protected by copyright.

Any reproduction, representation or adaptation, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior authorisation.

DayRank collects only the data you enter directly into the app:

  • Your daily entries (date, score from 0 to 100)
  • Your notes and things to improve tied to each day
  • Your app preferences (language, theme)
  • Your aggregated statistics (average, best/worst scores)

Data storage

All of your data is stored locally on your iOS device. If you turn on iCloud syncing, your data may be backed up and synced through Apple’s services, in line with their privacy policy.

Use of data

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Run the app and its features
  • Calculate your statistics
  • Personalise your experience
  • Sync your data across devices (if iCloud is on)

Data sharing

DayRank does not share, sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Security

Your data is protected by iOS’s native encryption. No external server is involved in storing or processing your data.

Your rights

At any time, you have the following rights:

  • Access — view your data directly in the app
  • Modification — edit each entry individually
  • Deletion — delete your data in the app or by uninstalling it
  • Turning off iCloud — disable syncing in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → DayRank

Service

DayRank is an iOS journalling and daily-rating app. A free version with the core features is available, alongside premium features accessible through a subscription.

Pricing

Prices are shown in euros (€) or in the local currency, VAT included, and billed by Apple. The full details of each plan are available in the app.

Payments

All payments are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. The publisher neither collects nor stores any payment data.

Premium subscription

  • Duration: monthly or yearly, renewing automatically
  • Cancellation: in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Free trial: where offered, any unused portion is forfeited when a paid subscription is purchased

Use

The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Any unauthorised reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

Support

Liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for data loss, service interruptions or indirect damages resulting from use of the app.

  • Price: shown in the app in your local currency (VAT included where applicable)

  • Renewal: automatic unless turned off at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Free trial: where offered, any unused portion of a trial period is forfeited when a paid subscription is purchased
